Can’t Edit Header & Footer

If you’re unable to edit the Header or Footer on your Bosa theme, don’t worry — the solution depends on how your demo is built. Bosa themes support two different methods for setting up Header & Footer:

  • Using the Classic Customizer (older demos)
  • Using Elementor + ElementsKit Header-Footer Builder (newer demos)

This guide will walk you through both methods.

1. Editing Header & Footer via Classic Customizer

If your imported demo is built the classic way, the header and footer customization options are available inside the WordPress Customizer.

Steps:

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Go to Appearance > Customize.
  3. Navigate to Header or Footer.
  4. Here, you can:
    • Update logo, site title, and tagline
    • Manage menus and navigation
    • Edit footer copyright text
    • Enable or disable footer widgets
  5. Once you’re done, click Publish to save your changes.

2. Editing Header & Footer via Elementor (with ElementsKit)

Many of our newer demos are built with Elementor using the ElementsKit Header-Footer Builder plugin. This method gives you greater flexibility to design the header and footer visually.

Steps to Set Up Header & Footer:

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard > ElementsKit > Header Footer.
  2. Here, you’ll find the pre-defined Header and Footer templates.
  3. To edit the Header:
    • Hover over the Header template and click Edit with Elementor.
    • The Header will open in the Elementor editor.
    • Customize it the same way you would edit any Elementor page (add sections, change colors, update menu, etc.).
  4. To edit the Footer:
    • Hover over the Footer template and click Edit with Elementor.
    • Customize footer text, widgets, icons, or layouts as per your needs.
  5. Once finished, click Update in Elementor to save changes.

Which Method Am I Using?

  • If your Customizer options work, your demo is likely built with the Classic Customizer.
  • If Customizer options don’t reflect changes, your demo is built with Elementor + ElementsKit, so use the second method.
